PEOPLE.COM: s among the select few who know exactly how This Is Us will end.

Though the actress, 34, could not disclose any details from the forthcoming series finale, she did reveal that fans will, like always, need tissues.

“I think the ending will be very satisfying for people,” Moore said on Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live after telling host Jimmy Kimmel that creator Dan Fogelman told her how the hit NBC series will ultimately come to a close.

“I think it’s very true to what the show evokes from all of us. People will feel their feelings,” she said.

In fact, Moore revealed that the cast has already filmed some scenes for the series finale.

“There’s no predetermined end date, but … I think [Fogelman] has an idea in his mind of when he sort of sees the story ending and he knows how it ends, which makes me feel good as an actor and as a viewer. He knows where the story is heading,” The Darkest Minds star shared.

“I think just the nature of our show and the trajectory is that … you know, people are certain ages now, and perhaps they’re just going to keep getting older. So [we are] capturing content in the can now,” Moore added.

She and on-screen husband Milo Ventimiglia, as well as TV son Sterling K. Brown, began shooting season 3 just a couple of weeks ago.

Earlier this month, Fogelman, who co-wrote the premiere’s script with showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, shared a photo of the first scene that was shot in the Pearson kitchen.

Days later, he and the cast celebrated the show’s five Emmy Award nominations, including best drama series.

Like Moore, Brown, 42, previously gave props to Fogelman for being the creative force behind This Is Us.

“Fogelman has a very keen understanding of what the beginning, middle, and end of our show is, and that’s important because he often likens our show to Lost in terms of its structure,” he told Entertainment Weekly in April.

Season 3 of This Is Us premieres Sept. 25 on NBC.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: No, This Is Us isn’t ending any time soon — see: the ratings — but it’s never too early to talk about the end of the NBC family drama.

At a For Your Emmy consideration panel held at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday, creator Dan Fogelman dropped an intriguing hint about the show’s very last episode. Asked by moderator Debra Birnbaum how far out the writers have mapped the show, Fogelman answered, “We’re pretty far along. Our writers and I are kind of to the end. We have a path for each season of the show. We’ve always had a plan… I don’t think this show will ever — despite any success it may or may not have — will ever overstay its welcome, and we have a story to tell. And we want to do this the right way. And so we have a plan.”

He added: “I’ve actually already shot pieces of the final scene in the series.”

Fogelman also shared that the show will drill down on Toby (Chris Sullivan), who was seen suffering from depression in a season 2 finale flash-forward, and do a “deep dive” on the back story of Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson), Randall’s wife who currently has her hands full with foster child Deja (Lyric Ross). Both will get “showcase” episodes, and, as he warned, “You’re going to be surprised what Toby and Beth were like before they entered this family.”

Surprised is also the word that Fogelman used when discussing the “Who is ‘Her’?’ mystery that was introduced in a different season 2 finale flash-forward with Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and adult Tess (Iantha Richardson). “Our plan right now is that big questions will be answered in the course of the season,” he said. ” I think people are going to be surprised with how we use that timeline.”

EW.COM:There has been fire and there has been darkness, and now… let there be light again?

With the resolution of Jack’s death mystery and the funeral service for Milo Ventimiglia’s Pearson patriarch, This Is Us has pushed viewers — and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) — through a double whammy of tragedy and mourning. So it makes sense, as series creator Dan Fogelman himself has said, that fans “deserve a break” after that recent trauma-o-rama.

The Feb. 27 episode of the NBC family drama, titled “Vegas, Baby,” brightens the mood, according to Moore. “There’s some present-day fun with a bachelor/bachelorette party for Toby (Chris Sullivan) and Kate (Chrissy Metz),” she tells EW.

The past story for Jack and Rebecca will focus on a wedding anniversary when they’ve been married for a while and the rigors of parenthood are taking their toll. “We come to the point where we don’t necessarily want to go through all of the hoopla and maybe just have a quiet night in — and the kids have another idea together,” shares Moore. “It definitely is a lighter episode, and I think it will definitely be bittersweet, knowing what we’ve just gone through with these characters.”

Via flashbacks in the funeral episode, viewers were able to see how Jack’s story will continue — and they might interface with him slightly differently than they did before they had witnessed his tragic end. “I think moving forward now will be bittersweet for people to realize, ‘Oh goodness, he really was this superhero and father,’” she notes. “And looking back at all the sweet moments that they shared, it might tug at the heartstrings a little bit more than usual.” (“More than usual?” Take appropriate precautions.)

Moore also revealed that the series will not return to the time period right after the funeral this season: “We’re going to go back in time a little bit and we’re going to stay more present-day,” she said, “but we’re not going to revisit the immediate aftermath of this funeral in season 2.”

THE WRAP: Super Bowl LII may have been down from last year, but its lead-out program was way, way up.

With a 16.2 rating in metered-market households, This Is Us scored the highest post-Super Bowl TV rating in six years, per early Nielsen numbers. The special Sunday episode’s numbers were 59 percent higher than last year’s premiere of 24: Legacy.

The last post-Super Bowl telecast to grab a better rating was NBC’s The Voice in 2012, which scored a 20.0 in the metered markets.

The number is not just a record for the special time slot (This Is Us ran from 10:45 -11:49 p.m.), but the NBC family drama itself, which rose 80 percent over the show’s previous record of a 9.0 rating for the Season 1 finale last March. The special installment also jumped 128 percent over This Is Us Season 2 average (7.1).

Following the dramatic episode, the cast appeared on a post-Super Bowl edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which posted a 5.7 rating in metered-market households from 12:24-1:35 a.m. ET. Sunday’s show was the third highest-rated telecast for the Fallon-led late-night program and moved ahead of its last post-Super Bowl installment in 2015 (5.5 rating).
